As Executive Director, Christy will oversee all aspects of Ghost River Theatre’s operations and business, working closely with our talented team to drive innovation, strengthen partnerships, and deliver exceptional artistic experiences. Christy holds a BMus (UBC) and an MBA in Arts & Media Management (Schulich School of Business, York U.) Most recently she has been Producer at Ghost River Theatre, and a touring agent for local theatre companies. From 2015 - 2018, she was Curator of the multi-disciplinary Calgary International Children’s Festival. She has an extensive background in presenting and arts management: as Artistic Presenting Manager of the Chan Centre for the Performing Arts at UBC (2007-2015), she managed the Chan’s presenting activities and in 2015 received a UBC President’s Staff Award for Creativity & Innovation for her work developing the Chan’s community engagement activities. She also managed Arts Commons Presents in 2021-22 as Arts Commons returned to live presenting. Christy has sat on numerous arts boards, including as President of the Western Front Society artist-run centre in Vancouver.
