Ghost River Theatre is one of the rare companies that creates all its own work.  Imaginative stories uniquely created and shared; human stories that matter to our audiences.   Creating new work like a rich soup takes time to simmer, and innovative work - like innovation in any industry - requires lots of clever minds thinking, playing and experimenting together.  Calgary is a centre of innovation in many ways, and GRT's stories are birthed out of the local experience - not imported.

Ghost River Theatre needs the financial support of people like you to continue to take significant innovative leaps with productions like The Last Voyage of Donald Crowhurst or to tackle new stories like GIANT about wrestler André René Roussimoff. Your help will provide us with a sustainable framework to achieve goals like:

  • Hiring local emerging artists to spark the next generation of playmakers

  • Offering discounted tickets for our Student Matinee Series.

  • Keeping the lights on at our new venue the West Village Theatre and helping to keep our community rental rates low.

  • Giving our talented artists the vital time they need to create and develop new and innovative stories.

Ghost River Theatre is a small and ambitious company, but without your collaboration, our ambition will only take us halfway.  We need your help in making tailor-made works for Calgary.   Will you help us continue telling our story by contributing to our work?
