Doug McKeag reprises his Betty award-winning performance as Alan, an aspiring young filmmaker diagnosed with Early Onset Parkinson’s Disease. As his life turns inside out, Alan tumbles down the rabbit hole into a world of physical transformation, singing Dopamine, and, of course, the crazed manifestation of the thief Parkinson’s itself.
Nominated for seven Betty Mitchell Awards including Outstanding New Musical, and winner of Outstanding Performance our newly revised remount of THE ALAN PARKINSON’S PROJECT is a trademark Ghost River theatrical event: collaboratively created, deeply personal, and daringly staged.
"Vastly entertaining, highly insightful, and impeccably directed and acted, this production was a credit to everyone involved. Top Ten of 2006."
Louis B. Hobson, Calgary Sun
"An imaginatively staged, realistic, funny, heartfelt and often very moving account of Curtis' ongoing struggle with Parkinson's disease. In the end, it's a show that can be seen as a metaphor for what any of us might feel, afflicted with some implacable, creeping unknown."
Bob Clark, Calgary Herald
