Three Canadian archeologists with a complex past are fatefully reunited on a dig in China in Glenda Stirling’s Dig. “How heavy is the weight of history?” asks thirty-something archeologist Hannah. Hannah embarks upon an excavation in Northern China to meet up with her former archeology professor and dig partner, Parker, in search of proof of the mythic Hsia dynasty. Little does Hannah know who else she will encounter on this dig. The surprise forces them all to dig into their own past. The three soon find that though there may be only one dig, there is certainly more than one excavation.
